Michael Austin

I’m Michael Austin, a Chicago writer and musician. Currently, I seek representation for my debut novel manuscript, JOLIET MOON, which has received support from the Illinois Arts Council and the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference.

A former nationally syndicated columnist (The Pour Man) for the Chicago Tribune, and the current managing editor of Jesuits magazine for the USA Midwest Province, my writing has appeared in dozens of consumer and literary publications, including Esquire, GQ and Puerto del Sol.

I also teach bodhran at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
